We can’t stop trauma; bad things happen and will continue to happen. War, accidents, and natural disasters…but also childhood rape and violence, neglect, poverty, addiction, and broken homes. Traumatizing events and circumstances surround us no matter who or where we are within society.
NOW, we can decide what happens after trauma.
The FDA is currently reviewing whether to permit the use of MDMA-assisted therapy (MaT) for PTSD sufferers. As a participant in the MAPS Phase 3 trial, guided MDMA therapy gave me the power to find my path back to resilience. Overnight, this therapy healed over 45 years of collected trauma and grief.
I spent my life trying to avoid victimhood. Until MaT, I lived a life of shame. The truth is that it is the predators who should be serving that life sentence of shame, but that thinking doesn’t help me.
What matters is that now, with MaT, I have healed. We can heal.
So this is ME, sharing the news that WE can survive and thrive after trauma. We can declare that we are not stuck in our suffering. We can restore our mental health and move forward.
We have an opportunity to heal ANY trauma.
